42nd Street Condos

The design for this four-unit condominium emphasizes privacy and the individual character of each unit while maintaining the efficiency of a single building. Located at the edge of a residential neighborhood and a highway commercial district, the project makes use of industrial materials in combination with traditional roof forms to respond to the transitional nature of the site. The units all have distinct exterior entrances, individual balconies or patios, and many windows that correspond to the nuances of each unit’s open plan and offer views of downtown Seattle, Lake Union, Mt. Rainier, and the Cascade Mountains.

The project received an AIA Home of the Month and Nice Modernist Award from Dwell Magazine.
